Progressions believes that giving priority to at-risk youth's basic character and educational develpmental needs will increase thire capacity to succeed.  The Progressions' programming model uses three basic strategies:

* Success Coaches (adult staff): Coaches provide a trusting and accountable relationship and oversees students' improvements in-school and in the community.  Thes Success Coach monitors school performance, attendance, class assignments and thier English/Reading courses.  Thes Coaches provide supervision for a minimun of five hours each week.

* Success Plans: Students create practical short-term 30, 60, and 90-day improvement goals for home, school, and community based on assessment results and school report cards.  The Success Plan guides students in discovering their talents, abilities, and self-directs students to take responsibility for thier success.

 * Success Centers: A dedicated learning environment that provides a consistent lovaiton and sructure for youth to establish daily routines and develop good learning/behavioral patterns. Students are engaged in the following:

* Assessments & Chqracter Development Trainings:  Identify learning syles, personal values and strengths, career choice, social skills, decision making, academic competence and more.  Includes cognitive life skill development, positive view of the future, and interviews with local professionals and community leaders.

Urban Middle & High School Success Centers

Progressions' Success Centers engage community leaders, volunteers and local organizations in the character and academic improvement of at-risk students. The Success Centers are staffed by a Success Coach who provides mentoring and tutoring support to targeted students, and coordinates volunteers who serve as mentors (Success Coaches). The Success Centers engage struggling students through year-round learning activities in school, after school, on weekends and during school vacation. The Success Centers operate on school campuses and in urban communities.

Progressions partners with the 17th Circuit Court, Family Division to conduct the Juvenile Success Center, a diversion program, located within the urban community at Pine Rest’s DeMey Clinic. As an early intervention strategy, the Juvenile Success Center targets youth who commit low level misdemeanors. After successful completion of the program, no formal court record will exist for those youth.
